Venice Boat Show 2025 at Arsenale di Venezia

Venice is gearing up for the biggest nautical spectacle of the year – the Venice Boat Show starts in just three days!

For the sixth consecutive year, the prestigious Venice Boat Show returns to the iconic Arsenale di Venezia from May 29 to June 2, 2025. Organized by Vela Spa in collaboration with the Italian Navy and the City of Venice, this event has firmly established itself as one of the premier international gatherings in the yachting world.

Spanning 55,000 square meters of waterfront exhibition space, the show will feature around 270 exhibitors and over 300 vessels, offering visitors an unparalleled opportunity to explore the latest innovations and trends in the maritime industry.

Venice, a city with a rich maritime heritage and the historic home of the mighty Arsenal — one of the most important naval bases in history, renowned for its magnificent architecture and technological innovation — is the perfect setting to showcase the future of boating. The Arsenale di Venezia, once the industrial hub of the Venetian navy, is today a symbol of the fusion of tradition, craftsmanship, and modern technology, which further enhances the exclusivity and significance of this show.

This year, the Venice Boat Show presents as many as 15 world premieres, showcasing a wide range of vessels — from small electric boats to luxurious superyachts. Two significant debuts are already drawing special attention: the Ferretti 940 and the Pershing GTX70. Both yachts reflect the evolving expectations of clients — performance is a given, while volume, comfort, and efficiency are increasingly taking center stage in design.

The Ferretti 940, a 28.7-meter yacht built from GRP materials and designed by Filippo Salvetti, can accommodate ten guests in five luxurious cabins, with several engine configurations available.

Making its world premiere is the Pershing GTX70, the first flybridge model in the GTX series. Measuring 21.88 meters in length and 5.42 meters in beam, this compact high-performance yacht offers features typically found on much larger vessels. With three guest cabins, it can accommodate up to six people, while a dedicated crew area is designed for one member.

Sustainable development is once again at the forefront — electric and hybrid drives are gradually becoming the standard. From small six-meter tenders to true giants of 50 meters, more and more boats are adopting alternatives to conventional engines. Among the most interesting examples is the 50-meter Sanlorenzo Almax, equipped with a fuel cell system that converts e-methanol into electricity to power the yacht’s hotel mode. A true leap forward in eco-conscious design.

The sailing segment also holds a significant place, with special emphasis on hybrid and fully electric vessels. Standing out here is the Sunreef 80 Eco, a 23.9-meter sailing catamaran from the Polish shipyard, making its debut at this show. Designed for quiet, emission-free sailing, it is equipped with solar panels integrated into the composite structure and advanced batteries, providing extended autonomy and the capability for transoceanic voyages.

Another highlight of the 2025 show is the growing prominence of RIBs and day cruisers, a segment experiencing significant expansion, according to the show organisers. Italian manufacturers and top-tier European shipyards will present an impressive selection of models. Among the world premieres are the fully electric Lumen e10, designed by Mulder; the debut hydrogen-powered model from Hydrocell and the CyberCat, a strikingly futuristic electric catamaran tender penned by Belisama Yacht.

Beyond luxury yachts, visitors can enjoy an engaging program of live demonstrations, including electric boat races at the dedicated e-Village, water sports exhibitions, and the beloved Wood Village, which celebrates the artistry of traditional wooden boat building.

The event also offers a rich schedule of conferences, expert panels, and interactive workshops addressing the latest topics in yachting, complemented by family-friendly activities and exhibitions that celebrate nautical craftsmanship and design.
