Koral Restaurant, located within the luxurious Apurva Kempinski Hotel in Bali, has rightfullly been named the world’s most iconic restaurant at the 2021 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards. The interior of the restaurant draws inspiration from the tropical features of Bali and the great Majapahit empire, which brought prosperity to the whole of Indonesia from the 13th to the 16th century. Teak ceilings and walls made of traditional red clay bricks are the main features of the construction elements of the former empire, while elegant black and white geometric tiles, popular at royal courts, further contribute to the feeling of a bygone era.

In this exraordinary place you will have the opportunity to enjoy fine dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The executive Sous Chef Andrea Astone, has prepared an excellent selection of dishes and cocktails inspired by indigenous flavors and ingredients of the archipelago. Additional tip: if you book a table in the tunnel with a glass ceiling you will get better photos because the area is brighter, while the tables next to the “window” allow you to admire the shoals of fish of this fascinating aquarium
