The Italian shipyard Rossinavi has delivered its most innovative project to date, the 42.8-meter hybrid-electric catamaran Seawolf X. After leaving the shipyard in Viareggio, Italy, Seawolf X is now anchored near the Greek island of Tinos.
This revolutionary catamaran, with exterior design by Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design, marks the first collaboration between this design house and Rossinavi since the launch of the 49.1-meter yacht Aurora in 2017. Seawolf X also represents Rossinavi’s first catamaran project.
One of the key features of this model is its three “performance scenarios.” For day trips, Seawolf X can cruise 100% of the time in full-electric mode; for multi-day trips, 90% of the time; and for transatlantic voyages, it can run in electric mode 80% of the time. When the catamaran is moored, a “hibernation mode” activates, reducing energy consumption, while the generated energy can be returned to the shore or a private property. Seawolf X can charge at the shore in just five hours, providing enough energy to power an entire villa.
Additionally, Rossinavi has developed an advanced AI system called Rossinavi AI, which analyzes the vessel’s operation, predicts guests’ needs, and communicates with the crew to promote “conscious cruising” and reduce environmental impact. The AI also monitors the battery pack to keep it in an optimal range of 20% to 80%.
The exterior of this catamaran, with its low-profile design reminiscent of a sports car, breaks away from traditional catamaran design conventions, while integrated solar panels enhance energy efficiency. Rossinavi has applied lightweight materials, including a specially designed anchor that meets strict weight and aesthetic standards.
The interior of the catamaran, designed by New York-based studio Meyer Davis, exudes relaxed luxury and sustainable design, inspired by nature, with particular emphasis on the sun, sea, and sand.
