The new 48-foot Menorquín adds a third outdoor living area, keeps the side deck on one level, and lets the owner tailor the layout to the family’s needs
Sasga has filled the gap in its range with the Menorquín 48 Flybridge – for owners who find the 42 a bit tight, but don’t want to step up to the 55 because of berth size, crew or running costs. The new model keeps the recognisable Menorquín silhouette and the brand’s lobster-boat charm, but adds another open-air level – the flybridge – together with a fully thought-out layout for family life at sea. The shipyard’s idea is clear: more space without moving into the “too big” class.
Why a flybridge?
Compared to the earlier 48 Hard Top, the flybridge is the main visual and functional change here: it gives the boat a more contemporary line and opens up a new daytime zone with panoramic views. Access is neatly solved by placing the flybridge staircase where one of the aft side passages would be, but the upper section is very compact, so the cockpit remains fully usable. On top of that, the side deck runs in a single level from stern to bow, which is important for family use and for comfortable movement in a seaway. Up forward there is a new dinette – a small, private corner for breakfast or sunset – which sets this model apart from the rest of the range.
The Menorquín 48 Flybridge is aimed at owners who truly spend time on board. That’s why the forward terrace, the bright saloon and the flexible lower deck matter more here than the boat’s raw length
Interior for longer stays
Inside, Sasga opted for a light, calming tone (patinated white oak) and for maximum use of the available volume. The standard layout offers an owner’s cabin and two further double cabins, with two bathrooms (one en suite), while the galley is set lower so that the main-deck saloon can stay as open and spacious as possible.

For buyers who want a higher level of customisation, there is the Signature programme: the galley can be brought up to the main deck, two master cabins can be created, and fabrics and finishes can be chosen – just like on the larger 55 and 68 models. You start from four base layouts, and the rest is tailored.
Hull and performance
The Menorquín 48 FB stays true to Sasga’s philosophy: a semi-displacement hull means soft, economical, stable running at lower speeds, while still being able to cruise at around 18 knots and reach 23 knots when needed. Since Sasga comes from Menorca, in the heart of the Balearics, it makes sense that the Menorquín 48 Flybridge is tuned for exactly that kind of Mediterranean – the one where you spend one day quietly, economically, hopping from cove to cove, and the next day you need to pick up speed and outrun a chop.
