Louis Vuitton is redefining the concept of beauty sleep with two fascinating new versions of its legendary bed trunks. Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, Nicolas Ghesquière, and Men’s Creative Director, Pharrell Williams, have joined forces to create modern interpretations of this ingenious 19th-century innovation, giving us yet another reason to sleep soundly—and open our wallets.
Originally launched in 1868, the bed trunk was designed to provide travelers with a comfortable night’s sleep during long journeys. Patented in 1885, this invention now enters a new era with a luxurious reimagining, where tradition and modern luxury are perfectly aligned.
These two new versions, resulting from the collaboration between Ghesquière and Williams, offer not only extraordinary design but also innovative functionalities that make sleeping a stylish and luxurious experience. Pharrell’s model features a classic Monogram canvas exterior and a foldable aluminum bed frame with memory foam, while Ghesquière’s version combines engraved metal plates with a floral-patterned mattress, highlighting attention to detail and superior craftsmanship.
These masterpieces first time presented in Paris, providing a unique opportunity for luxury enthusiasts to experience the blend of fashion and functionality that only Louis Vuitton can offer.
