A LEGACY BUILT ON EXPERTISE
Drawing on extensive experience in the yachting industry since 1997, Mario Čakar and Gimmy Valente laid the foundation for Adriatic Wave Group, which has become a leading force in yacht sales in Europe. Their unwavering passion for the sea has driven them to redefine the luxury yachting experience. Their vision was to provide each client with an impeccable experience and yachts of the highest caliber, building strong trust and long-lasting relationships.

At Adriatic Wave, commitment to quality permeates every aspect of their offering. This meticulous approach is evident from the very beginning, through their selection of yachts from renowned brands such as Absolute, Invictus, and FIM. Their relentless passion for perfection goes beyond mere sales, encompassing top-notch maintenance and attention to every detail to ensure your yacht remains in optimal condition. Adriatic Wave doesn’t just offer yachts; they provide an exclusive lifestyle tailored to every one of your desires.

Buying a yacht is a journey, not just a transaction. Adriatic Wave fully understands this. Their team of experienced yachting experts is dedicated to identifying the unique needs and desires of each client, providing a personalized experience from the first encounter to long-term support. Adriatic Wave delivers exceptional service that consistently exceeds all expectations.
INNOVATION AT THE CORE
Headquartered in the picturesque town of Rovinj, Croatia, with branches in Šibenik and Pula (Croatia), and Chioggia (Italy), Adriatic Wave Group is relentlessly pursuing innovation, pushing the boundaries of luxury yachting. Their dynamic work environment across all these locations fosters creativity and collaboration, empowering employees to contribute to the company’s progress. At Adriatic Wave, employees are not just resources, but partners in growth and innovation.
A VOYAGE INTO THE FUTURE
Adriatic Wave is driven by a clear vision to become the leading partner in luxury yachting, not just in the Adriatic but across Europe. They are actively expanding their reach, introducing new brands and services, and constantly striving to exceed the expectations of their discerning clientele.
To achieve this vision, the company regularly attends major international nautical shows, including those in Cannes, Düsseldorf, Genoa, and Venice. They also organize their own exclusive events called ABSOLUTE WEEKENDS in the most prestigious Adriatic marinas. Their presence extends to several European countries, where they have exclusive dealerships for ABSOLUTE YACHTS in Italy (excluding Northern Italy), Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. Supported by a network of professional and reliable partners, they guarantee comprehensive assistance and service throughout the Adriatic and even the Mediterranean.
Today, Adriatic Wave continues its successful journey under the leadership of Bruno Prapotnik, Gimmy Valente, Selma Cakar, Mario’s wife, and their son Andre. In the following lines, we talk to Andre Čakar, a key player in the company, to learn more about the company’s values, their approach to clients, the culture of innovation within the team and future plans that promise even greater success.
NP: What are Adriatic Wave’s key core values and how are they reflected in all aspects of the business?
One of the main values of our company is the passion for nautical activities, which all of us in the team share, thanks to our previous experience in the nautical world, which motivates us to face daily challenges.
Teamwork is also a key value that, in addition to making work easier, allows us to provide the best possible service to our clients.
Another value of the Adriatic Wave company is integrity, which is our distinguishing feature in the nautical world. We are always transparent and behave ethically in all business dealings, even when it is not to our benefit, which we consider extremely rare in today’s business world.
NP: Beyond sales, what sets Adriatic Wave apart in terms of after-sales service and client relationships?
We believe that after-sales is the most important part of buying a boat and it is our main focus. We try to be available to our clients at all times and solve problems as soon as possible. Although in most cases these are small things that can be quickly resolved, they can significantly spoil the holiday for clients.
Also, considering that many of our clients are buying their first boat, we provide them with support in the form of training and counseling so that they can get to know their boat and the nautical world better, and fully enjoy their travels.
NP: How does Adriatic Wave foster a culture of innovation and growth within its team?
In the last two years, our company’s focus has been on hiring young people who can bring new initiative and innovative ideas. Of course, cooperation with more experienced colleagues from the nautical sector allows us to combine all these ideas and experiences, which leads to ideal solutions.
NP: What initiatives do you implement to nurture client relationships and ensure their long-term satisfaction?
One of the main initiatives, which we have already talked about, is after-sales. We are continuously working on its improvement, and recently we have invested significantly in this area in order to improve our service to clients.
Also, a significant role in our activities is played by various events that we organize annually for our present clients. These events represent our gratitude for the their trust and provide us with the opportunity to collect feedback that is crucial for business development. Based on that information, we work daily to improve our services.
NP: Which significant strategies does Adriatic Wave plan to implement in the future?
In today’s world, strategies must be agile because the days of long-term five- and ten-year plans are over, especially in our line of work. Of course, we have a framework strategy that helps us achieve our vision, but we also rely heavily on our experience. One of the key strategies we plan to implement in the future, and which we are already working on, is talent development. In order to build the most skilled and motivated team possible — which is key to driving innovation, delivering quality services and sustaining growth — we are constantly working to train our employees. Also, we are planning to expand the team.
