For more than a decade, Nautika has followed the growth of his business, from dominance in the catamaran world to an expansion into motor yachts and superyachts. In this interview, Franz Schillinger maps out the key milestones, from the 2019 decision to the current 50 m projects, and reveals why the next phase arrives with a new name and an ambition that goes beyond the previous scope.
Since 2012, we have had the pleasure of following your business journey and growth. Which moments do you consider your best decisions or key turning points to date?
We have been a very successful dealer for Lagoon Catamarans since 2009, at times ranked number one in Europe and at other times number one worldwide. Lagoon has always been, and will remain, one of our key products, especially as the brand has expanded its portfolio beyond sailing catamarans to include two large luxury motor catamarans.
However, the key turning point for our business was our decision to take on Sanlorenzo Yachts in 2019. This step significantly broadened our horizons and positioned us as a major player in the motor yacht market.
Sanlorenzo Adria posted notable results over the past year. Which success from 2025 stands out the most for you?
In 2025, we truly proved our expertise in the superyacht segment. We are currently working on two major projects involving yachts of 50 meters, which clearly demonstrates our growing capabilities and credibility in this market.
Looking ahead, what is the biggest change or challenge you expect in the market, and what will be your focus for 2026?
The biggest challenge in the market will be meeting the expectations of increasingly knowledgeable and selective clients, while navigating tighter regulations and growing demands for sustainability and efficiency.
Our focus for 2026 will be to strengthen our role as a trusted advisor, offering comprehensive support from yacht selection and project management through to after-sales service. At the same time, we will continue to build our expertise in the larger yacht and superyacht segments, ensuring long-term value for our clients and partners.
How do you align the vision and goals between Sanlorenzo Adria and Master Yachting, and what motivates you the most in leading both companies?
Before answering this question, I have exciting news for you. Sanlorenzo Adria will be rebranded as The Yacht Mastery.
In response to the evolving yachting market, the company will operate as an independent advisory firm, offering clients access to a broader portfolio of leading international shipyards.
The alignment between The Yacht Mastery and Master Yachting comes from a shared long-term vision focused on quality, professionalism, and client trust. Both companies complement each other naturally. The Yacht Mastery represents excellence in the superyacht segment, while Master Yachting brings decades of experience and a strong client-centric approach. Clear communication, shared standards, and a unified strategy ensure that our goals remain closely aligned.
What motivates me most in leading both companies is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients and partners while continuously developing the teams behind the brands. Seeing complex projects come to life, supporting clients throughout their entire yachting journey, and shaping sustainable, long-term growth for both companies is what truly drives me.
