Renowned for its harmonious blend of sleek Italian design and expansive interiors, the Azimut Fly Series welcomes a new addition: the Fly 72. Spanning 72 feet, this yacht upholds the series’ legacy, delivering exceptional craftsmanship and the signature Azimut style
STRIKING EXTERIOR DESIGN BY ALBERTO MANCINI
The Fly 72’s exterior boasts a captivating design by longtime Azimut collaborator, Alberto Mancini. The lines are low-profile and elegant, yet exude a masculine presence thanks to a squared-off bow, a reverse sheerline, and a raked windshield. This design refresh showcases Azimut’s ability to evolve the Fly series while retaining its core identity.
SOPHISTICATED INTERIORS BY FABIO FANTOLINO
Stepping inside, the interior by Fabio Fantolino evokes a sophisticated Roman apartment. Functionality seamlessly blends with elegance, exemplified by the leather satchel straps on the sofas. These straps not only add a touch of unique style but also allow for adjustable seating configurations. The amidships galley might not offer the most extensive storage for extended voyages, but its central location makes it ideal for hosting onboard gatherings.
A delightful detail adorns the galley bar – lacquered, aquamarine slats reminiscent of classic La Dolce Vita-era runabouts. This same veneer extends to the alfresco dining table supports in the cockpit, creating a cohesive and playful ambiance throughout the yacht.
THE FLYBRIDGE: THE HEART OF THE AZIMUT FLY 72
As its name suggests, the Fly 72’s flybridge takes center stage. The expansive space caters to both entertainment and navigation. The upper helm station allows captains to enjoy unobstructed views while piloting the yacht. The flybridge stretches aft, covering the entire cockpit, and boasts a rear glass bulwark that enhances the feeling of spaciousness.
A U-shaped dining settee with a teak table graces one side of the flybridge, while a well-equipped wetbar sits opposite. Ample lounge seating is strategically placed both fore and aft. The hardtop features retractable glass sections for sun control and ventilation.
THE PLACE WHERE DREAMS SET SAIL
The lower deck offers a sanctuary of stylish coherence, starting with a VIP cabin at the bow featuring a centrally placed bed that takes advantage of the extra width provided by the trapezoidal bow. The central owner’s cabin occupies the full beam of the yacht and boasts incredible views through large windows, along with ample storage space. Two further guest cabins and a separate crew cabin complete the offerings on this fantastic vessel.
FUNCTIONALITY IN ACTION
While plush flybridges are an Azimut hallmark, the Fly 72 introduces a welcome surprise: improved functionality. The yacht features a third steering station with joystick controls in the cockpit for easier docking. Additionally, a dedicated work area at the bow caters to crew members handling anchor operations. This foredeck also boasts a spacious social area with sunbeds and lounging areas.
Twin 1,400 horsepower MAN V12 engines housed in an easily accessible engine room propel the Fly 72 to reported top speeds of 32 knots and cruising speeds of 26 knots.
