Combine a love of the sea and dry land through a beautiful nautical story of the Šibenik – Knin County
HIGH QUALITY OF NAUTICAL SERVICES
Šibenik-Knin County has long been recognized as an attractive nautical mecca, with the distinctive image of the Šibenik Channel and the islands. The picture is also complemented by the favorable nautical climate, attractive natural and cultural sites (St. James’s Cathedral and St. Nicholas Fortress are on the UNESCO list). Furthermore, in recent years this county has been fascinating visitors by the wide range of social and entertainment activities at the restored Šibenik fortresses, coveted by many larger cities. The nautical tradition in this region has existed for many years and is supported by institutions relevant for the promotion of the destination, the Tourist Board of the Šibenik-Knin County, the City of Šibenik and the Croatian Chamber of Economy of Šibenik. It is these three institutions that support their nautical representatives, such as the charter company NCP & mare and Adria Libar Maritime & Yacht Training Center, which, with their high quality of nautical services and standard of work have a significant influence on boaters in their evaluation of the offer and attractiveness of the destination. Keeping up with the trends of the nautical industry and the increasingly demanding market, these two companies have become recognizable in the international nautical market.

THIRTY YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN TRAINING OF SEAFARERS AND BOATERS
Adria Libar Maritime & Yacht Training Center celebrated its 30th-anniversary last year and today is rightfully the reference point for education and training of professional seafarers and boaters, as well as recreational boaters in their centers of Zagreb, Rijeka, Zadar, Šibenik and Split. Training of maritime and nautical personnel is in accordance with international conventions and standards, and the school is approved by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia and other relevant maritime authorities. Of particular interest to sailors is the news that this educational institution is the only accredited institution outside Belgium approved by the Belgian Ministry for conducting commercial yachting training modules whose certificates are now recognized by maritime authorities such as Gibraltar, Marshall Island, Virgin Island, Malta, and so on.
Due to a large number of safety training programs, simulation courses, protection and rescue, human resources management, and special crew training for luxury yachts, Adria Libar trains about 4,000 candidates annually. Certified knowledge today is imperative in all branches of the maritime and nautical profession.
The common trait of successful individuals is persistence, along with upgrading knowledge and a sense of respect for their profession and business.
It is these two companies that, with the support provided by the institutions, are dedicated to promoting the nautical industry and creating a recognizable image. “The Big Bang˝effect with the figures showing the development of nautical tourism brings an increase in interest but also an incredible level of service and professionalism in operation. Thus, only by acting together with the support of institutions can they raise the ladder.
